About Us

Have you ever dreamed of taking a hiatus from normal daily life, packing your car up and just hitting the open road?  When Tracy and I met 7 years ago, we quickly realized that we shared that common dream and knew someday we would explore this amazing country together!  We wanted to trade in paperwork and deadlines for mountains and beaches....get up and go for a hike instead of to a meeting....and end our day by a relaxing campfire rather than rushing home to mow the lawn!  On June 26th, we will be hitting that open road to live our dream and we're creating this blog so that we can share our journey with you!

Why is our blog named 98 square feet?  This adventure isn't just about seeing the country for us - it's about waking up one day with the realization that maybe less could be more.  Why did we own a 2,400 square foot home, 3 acres of land, 3 cars, a hot tub, a snapple beer cooler (ok, we do miss that already!) and more stuff than we could ever want or even use?   We started thinking...do we own our stuff, or does our stuff own us?  So we sold our home, sold our cars, yes, we even sold our precious snapple cooler.  We traded it all in for a new Jeep and our 98 square foot camper that will be our home as we take this amazing journey together!  For us, it's all about the experience of having less, but doing more....truly living life to the fullest.

From wide open spaces to wonderful large cities - we're excited to see and experience it all and invite you to travel with us on this winding road by enjoying our blog!
